    SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:
    The Performance Management Analyst will assist the Director of Accreditation, Performance Management, and Quality Improvement with accreditation activities throughout the accreditation cycle, as well as support the evolution and maintenance of the department's Performance Management System


    This will involve:
    1) supporting public health accreditation efforts (including
    workforce development); 2) engaging in activities to obtain the "critical to quality" elements of health department programs, services, and interventions to establish key performance indicators; 3) documenting process workflows to increase knowledge, improve efficiency and establish best practices for operational excellence, and; 4) actively engaging in QI efforts by employing tools from
    established QI frameworks (e.g., PDSA, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) to support performance improvement.

    The specific duties of this role include:

    • Assisting with tracking and preparation of accreditation requirements/documentation
    • Maintaining and evaluating divisional performance dashboards for routine review
    • Researching performance standards and measures to inform key performance indicators
    • Obtaining the voice of the customer through customer satisfaction surveys and staff interviews

    Collaborating with divisional staff to:

    • Collect and report performance data
    • Document best practice protocols and current/future state process workflows
    • Determine improvement project viability and business requirements
    • Develop and manage QI projects and help sustain improvements

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge/Technical Skills:

    • Strong communication and writing skills
    • An understanding of basic statistical concepts
    • Proficiency in descriptive data analysis (experience with statistical software a plus)
    • Working knowledge of business analysis techniques (i.e., gathering business requirements)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Visio a plus)
    • Experience in business process mapping and process evaluation
    • Experience navigating complex organizations with a wide range of analytical needs

    • Observant, organized, and detail-oriented
    • Curious and inquisitive, with investigative abilities
    • Ability to explain technical subject matter to a non-technical audience
    • A self-starter with flexibility to work as an individual contributor or as part of a team
    • Ability to successfully engage with staff at all levels
    • Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university in public
    health, public administration, business, or a related field.


    • 2-3 years of experience in program evaluation, performance improvement or organizational
    development a plus.

    • Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the
    Department of Public Health.


    SALARY :

    • Salary is around $55,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
