    Description

    Consumer Products Manufacturer based in Fairfield, New Jersey is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance, Consumer Product Testing, and Compliance Specialist. This individual will have experience in consumer product testing, compliance assessment, factory audits, product inspections and other compliance requirements.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review on-order reports daily to determine if safety testing is on file or required for all items on order.
    • Utilize and monitor customers web systems (i.e. Five Below ICIX, Walmart Retail Link, DSG EcVision, Tractor Supply Clear Track, BJs UL Client Portal, etc.) to request testing, request audits, enter CAPs, etc.
    • Upload testing reports based on customers requirements, register new factories through customers compliance process if required and manage inspection requests.
    • Work with overseas office and factories to ensure testing samples are submitted on time and results are received on time for required retail quality, label and safety testing.
    • Investigate failed results and work with factory to get samples retested for a passing result.
    • Work with the marketing department to follow up on pre-production approval samples as needed.
    • Follow new product timelines (tooling, prototypes, testing) as necessary to ensure on time delivery.
    • File and maintain records including: Product Safety Testing Reports and GCCs as well as Factory Audits
    • Work with overseas office to request testing at 3rd party lab or through customers testing process. (i.e. Aldi, Costco, BJs, Pricesmart, Tractor Supply, Walmart, Five Below, etc.)
    • Manage FDA renewals.
    • Track audits to ensure the overseas factories are prepared and audit is completed on time.
    • Manage CAP process with factory, (includes reviewing the CAP for completeness and making suggestions for improvement)
    • Review inspection reports to ensure continual product improvement.
    • Identify quality problems and defects and recommend solutions to continually improve products.
    • Work closely with Marketing and Purchasing departments.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • BA/ BS equivalent experience
    • Must have at least 4+ years in fast-moving consumer goods/ consumer products company with experience in quality control, product testing and compliance.
    • Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively
    • Problem solver and detail-orientated
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with internal and external teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Knowledge and understanding of GMP/ GLP regulations
    • Team player with a can do attitude

    Job Type: Full-time in Fairfield, NJ offices (not remote)

    Experience:
