RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of healthcare operations, policies, and procedures to identify areas of noncompliance.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in healthcare compliance and audit procedures.
  • Create and implement policies and procedures to enhance compliance efforts across the organization.
  • Develop and monitor stats on compliance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain and manage numerous daily and monthly reports as needed in preparation for Board meetings and committee meetings.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding compliancerelated questions and concerns.
  • Transcribe bimonthly Compliance Ambassador Committee meeting minutes.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on compliance topics to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead and conduct investigations into potential violations of policies, procedures, regulations, or laws within the organization by collecting and analyzing evidence, including documents, records, and interviews, to determine the facts surrounding an incident or allegation.
  • Perform fraud, waste and abuse risk assessments to pinpoint areas of concern and develop and implement remediation plans. Add the areas of concerns onto the Compliance Workplan.
  • Conduct onsite inspections at various operational units to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and policy standards.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance audit program to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and procedures in detecting and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to develop action plans and recommendations for addressing fraud, waste, and abuse findings.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, integrity, and zero tolerance for fraud, waste, and abuse throughout the organization by promoting awareness and training initiatives.
  • Professionally communicates both verbally and in writing and prepares formal presentations with executive summaries and recommendations based on audit results.
  • Plan and execute activities for compliance week.
  • Develop, monitor and track Compliance Survey responses and trends.
  • This role may require occasional local travel to operational sites to perform site inspections.
  • Strong ability to work independently for periods of time.
  • Additional ad hoc duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance; certifications preferred 3 years of experience in audit compliance; certifications preferredEEO/AAP Statement: DocGo is an equal opportunity employer.
