    Description

    A nonprofit organization in Chicago is looking to add a new Associate Director of Contract Management to their growing staff.

    Responsibilities:

    The Associate Director of Contract Management will:

    • In collaboration with program management, prepares government contract budgets for new and renewing grants and supports grant submissions
    • Maintains contract files - ensuring signed contracts are in place, contract trackers are up to date and revenues reported are supported by contracts
    • Manages team workload ensuring reporting requirements are met (deadlines, review for allowability and maximization of contract funds)
    • Works with program leaders, with an emphasis on grant budgets, to ensure appropriate management of funds, including allocation of costs
    • Tracks, monitors, and reports status on grant utilization and grant performance, including financial and reporting compliance
    • Coordinates grant and contract deliverables ensuring requirements are met
    • Prepares and reviews financial projections to ensure that grant funds are spent and reported in a timely fashion
    • Provides input and feedback on allowability of grant funds, contract maximation and grant compliance
    • Monitors financial performance to budget and contract requirements
    • Prepares and reviews amendments as warranted
    • Reviews and analyzes financial statements and grant performance with particular emphasis on program contracts and grants
    • Proposes efficiency improvements as needed and manage deadlines
    • Coordinates grant and contract monitoring reviews/audits with program, finance, and support staff
    • Develops and implements grant related policies and procedures
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management and accounting, including budget preparation and financial analysis required
    • Demonstrates strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Expertise in the applicable rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to local, state and/or federal funding including 2 CFR 200 and the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act
    • Project management skills necessary
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to manage and develop a team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels and external stakeholders
