    This position reports to the Controller.

    The Accounting Manager is accountable for the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

    Role and Responsibilities
    The primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
    Follows GAAP and ensures compliance with internal controls and other CHRIS180 Accounting Procedures.
    Supervise Accounting staff, oversee day-to-day functionality and approve all AP and AR transactions.
    Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, credit card expense, etc.)
    Must have a working knowledge of Sage Intacct.
    Working knowledge of accrued journal entries which includes payroll accruals,

    reviewing monthly recurring journal entries and reversing entries.
    Experience with reconciling multiple bank accounts, payroll accounts, balance Sheet accounts and monthly review of the general ledger accounts.
    Experience with working closely with Controller for month end closing process.
    Experience with cash projections, budgets and assisting with preparation of financial reports.
    Reconciliation of Atlanta Housing Authority (AHA) rent assistance (PBRA) reports.
    Issue timely and complete financial statements in collaboration with Controller.
    Compliance reporting for grants and contracts.
    Research accounting issues for compliance.
    Responsible for cash management, including performing wire transfers, ACH payments, and maintaining lines of credit.
    Assist with the annual external audit and provide schedules and reconciliations to the external auditors.
    Attend and participate in all meetings and supervision as required and in accordance with CHRIS 180 policy and procedures.

    Leverage strengths of the accounting team members; help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.

    Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filing.
    Maintain detailed files, documentation, and billing requirements in a timely manner in accordance with CHRIS180 policy and compliance standards.
    Attend and participate in all meetings and supervision as required and in accordance with CHRIS180 policy and procedures.
    Adhere to CHRIS180 Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and GA Code
    Support and maintain an environment of emotional and physical safety for consumers, staff and other stakeholders at all times.
    Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
    Maintain certifications/training and provide information to HR and Training promptly.
    Qualifications/Competencies
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 7 years of relative work and supervisory experience.
    Good organizational skills.
    Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office suites.
    Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities.
    Close attention to detail is required as well as the ability to multi-task.
    Experience with Federal grants is a plus.

    Administrator for financial accounting software.
    Attend and participate in all meetings and supervision as required and in accordance with CHRIS 180 policy and procedures.
    Ability to collaborate with other staff to ensure best practices and sound decisions.
    Ability to communicate using appropriate tone with corresponding verbally or written (as well as proper usage of grammar and spelling)
    Ability to adapt and adjust course and be open to new ideas.
    Ability to manage workload by having a clear understanding of task/project and set realistic timelines and goals.

    Experience with and Financial Edge is a plus.

    Schedule:
    This is a full-time position and typically works Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm but requires flexibility.
