    Responsibilities Peraton requires Wireless Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3.

    Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

    The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services.

    The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

    Wireless Network Engineers perform tier three wireless network support. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must be knowledgeable in both wired and wireless network technology. An in-depth background in wireless equipment, standards, protocols, and security standards is necessary. Wireless Network engineers needs to be familiar with integrating cellular, such as 5G. The candidate should be familiar with Bluetooth for ad Hoc wireless networks.

    Wireless Network Engineers must be effective communicators with excellent written, verbal communications, and presentation skills to collaborate successfully with network technicians, vendors, and managers.

    Wireless Network Engineers should demonstrate leadership skills and excellent customer interaction skills.
    Duties include but are not limited to: * Performing systems engineering, design, analysis, and experimentation of wireless networks
    • Researching, designing and implementing wireless networks, including the definition of applicable engineering specifications and resource requirements for network hardware and software
    * Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing classified and unclassified wireless LANs, including wireless access points and their interconnection to the wired infrastructure

    • Making recommendations for wireless network optimization, additions and upgrades to meet the Government's requirements
    • Conducting and documenting radio frequency (RF) coverage and site surveys
    • Documenting network infrastructure and design
    • Evaluating the performance of Media Access Control (MAC) and higher layers of various types of wireless networks
    • Researching, designing and implementing wireless networks, including the definition of applicable engineering specifications and resource requirements for network hardware and software
    • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM missiom

    Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Required qualifications:

    • DoD security clearance at the TS clearance or higher is required
    • BS with 8-10 years of experience, MS with 6-8 years of experience, or PhD with 3-5 years of experience. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
    • At least 8 years of experience in LAN/WAN engineering and design work, including 3-5 years specializing in wireless technologies, such as WiFi, Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX), Bluetooth, and Cellular
    • CWNE OR CCNP Enterprise with one network wireless concentration OR CWNP Certified Wireless Network Administrator OR CWNP Certified Wireless Technology Specialist OR Aruba Certified Mobility Professional OR CCIE Wireless certifications
    Target Salary Range $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range EEO An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disability/Veteran.
