    K?STA I.T is actively seeking a Software Test Engineer foran immediate contract engagement with our government client.

    Work Location: This position is remote.

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to contribute to a groundbreaking event-driven microservices system, impacting education across Utah. We're searching for self-motivated individuals with expertise in secure coding, Test Driven Development (TDD), Domain Driven Design (DDD), microservices architecture, and proficiency in integrating data visualization into web applications. Our ideal candidate possesses proficiency in Azure, Playwright or Selenium, SpecFlow, microservices testing, and containerization. They are Automation Engineers with a passion for testing automation, rapid iteration, and user-centric solutions. They thrive in both conceptual discussions and practical implementation, always eager to explore new methodologies

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain automated integration test libraries to support continuous integration pipelines, encompassing testing of multiple event-driven microservices in containers, leveraging Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium or Playwright, SpecFlow, and Azure.
    • Collaborate with development and business teams to devise data-driven test strategies aligned with engineering and product objectives.
    • Establish and maintain testing performance, coverage, and efficacy metrics.
    • Define and test quality standards for new applications throughout development/product lifecycles to enhance user experience.
    • Innovate solutions to challenges within the team's domain.
    • Possess a solid understanding of data collection and flow.
    • Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams towards common objectives.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Required Skills:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years of testing automation experience.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of event-driven microservices experience.
    • Experience: Proficiency in developing and maintaining testing metrics.
    • Experience: Familiarity with various software testing methodologies, including functional and non-functional testing.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals of diverse personalities, demonstrating problem-solving abilities and task prioritization.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Initiative: Proven track record of self-initiation, hard work, and curiosity.
    • Teamwork: Ability to contribute effectively within cross-functional teams.
    • Agile/Scrum: Experience in an agile product environment, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies.
    Nice to Have:
    • Certifications: CEH, ISTQB, CAST, etc.
    • Development Experience: .NET, C#, CSS, Angular, Azure, etc.
    • Container Orchestration: Proficiency in container orchestration and building apps in containers.
    • Domain Driven Design: Understanding and experience with DDD.
    • Industry Experience: Financial or Education domain experience.
    • Security Testing: Experience with penetration testing, OWASP, etc.
