    Software Engineer in Test

    Location: Remote, San Francisco

    Job Description:

    Join Hazel Health as a Software Engineer in Test and play a key role in enhancing their digital health platform. Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery at scale. Design, implement, and monitor the quality assurance program, emphasizing automation and efficient testing practices. The ideal candidate will solve complex technical challenges while striving for continuous improvement in platform quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead testing strategy design and framework implementation.
    • Drive adoption of testing tools and frameworks through collaboration.
    • Onboard engineers with testing frameworks and enhance team skills.
    • Collaborate with other teams to ensure code safety during releases.
    • Develop comprehensive test plans and leverage metrics for improvement.
    • Advocate for product quality, security, and performance.
    • Continuous learning and skill development.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of software engineering with 3 years in quality engineering
    • Deep understanding of QA methodologies and clear test plan development
    • Experience with automated testing tools like JUnit, pytest, Selenium
    • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies
    • Strong communication skills and structured test design
    • Track record of shipping complex software and improving lives through technology

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior leadership in QA and active participation in software development
    • Experience testing Java, React, and React Native applications
    • Familiarity with security policies and HIPAA compliance
    • Knowledge of SQL and database testing
