    As a Business Unit of Syntegon Technology, Osgood Industries, LLC. is a multi-million dollar, growth-oriented organization for packaging machinery. Established in 1978, Osgood was privately owned for more than 40 years and is well-known in the packaging industry. At this location in Oldsmar, FL, we design and manufacture packaging machines for food and a broad spectrum of products. In addition, we build complete line solutions and provide comprehensive after sales services. The facility includes engineering, manufacturing, assembly, R&D/testing lab, management, sales & marketing, administration, and service.

    Job Description

    Responsible for representing and promoting our product lines in domestic markets. Must have outstanding lead qualification and selling skills, the ability to successfully meet the challenge of adding new customers while retaining existing customers, and a passion for excellent customer service. Focused on generating profitable new business and a key component of our aggressive growth plan.

    Essential Functions:
    • Research and conduct canvass calls to customers (new and existing) in assigned region
    • Presents/reviews machine quotations with customers utilizing videos and PowerPoint presentations highlighting machine features and benefits.
    • Prepare machine RFQs
    • Support customer visits during pre-sales meetings, machine build update meetings, and FATs
    • Update and maintain CRM with sales activities accounts, contacts, and activities
    • Reviews machinery layouts and works with engineering to affect more efficient space utilization in the customer's facility
    • Supports the company's strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals of new machine sales.
    • Prepares forecasting activities and monitors individual performance goals and KPIs
    • Review market analyses to determine customer needs and areas for portfolio development
    • Prepares weekly expense reports, as necessary
    • Develops and maintains relationship contacts with key customers and industry partners.
    • Stays current with industry trends and developments to seize new market opportunities
    • Investigate and resolve customer concerns
    • Attends trade shows as assigned
    • Regularly travels throughout assigned territory to visit existing and prospective customers to prospect for new sales projects, promote Osgood capabilities and solutions, and finalize orders of new packaging equipment.
    Qualifications

    BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
    • Degree in BA or BS degree from an accredited university, or equivalent education and or equivalent work experience
    • Must have at least 5+ years of capital equipment or automated machinery sales experience
    • Energetic, effective, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills who is able to work under pressure and communicate effectively to the intended audience.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Proven record of accomplishment as a top performer while selling in a competitive sales atmosphere.
    • Capital equipment sales experience, preferably in the packaging machinery industry for food products.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with long sales cycles
    • Experience in filling and sealing packages and cups
    • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Domestic with some limited international travel possible, 40% of working time
    • Valid passport or the ability to obtain a passport is required

    The expected base compensation range for this position is between $80,000 - $96,000 based on a full-time schedule.

    This role is also eligible for commissions on all new sales in the assigned region.

    Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
