    Job Description:

    The Role
    The Manager will be responsible for assisting the administration of F-Prime Capital's compliance program, collaborating with a cross-functional team of compliance, legal, and business professionals. The Manager will provide compliance support, guidance, and play a key role in safeguarding F-Prime's interests. Demonstrating superior work ethic, leadership skills, commitment to F-Prime's values, and high-quality assurance standards are essential to maintaining the company's excellent reputation.

    F-Prime, affiliated with FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments, invests in a diverse range of asset classes, focusing on early-stage private companies in sectors such as biotechnology, technology, telecommunications, blockchain, and disruptive sciences.

    This position offers a mix of remote and on-site work in Cambridge.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    Education and Experience:

    • 5+ years experience in compliance and/or regulatory roles in the financial services sector
    • Understanding of securities laws, private funds, and venture capital is advantageous
    • Proven track record in analyzing complex issues
    • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or JD preferred

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with the Investment Adviser Act of 1940
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving abilities
    • Capability to influence decision-makers through expertise, logic, and relationships
    • Quick grasp of new concepts and consideration of potential repercussions of daily decisions
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
    • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration

    Daily & Monthly Responsibilities:

    • Develop and review compliance policies and procedures in conjunction with F-Prime business associates
    • Identify and escalate issues to F-Prime's Vice President of Risk & Compliance
    • Provide guidance on compliance and ethics policies, particularly those involving sensitive information
    • Support with risk assessments, audits, and regulatory submissions
    • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, ownership, and empowerment
    • Make thoughtful decisions to enhance the associate experience while upholding a culture of compliance
    • Pursue intellectual curiosity

    The Team
    As part of a global private equity firm managing over $2.5B in assets under management, focusing on early to mid-stage healthcare companies in biotechnology, medical devices, healthcare IT, diagnostics, and services, you will collaborate closely with F-Prime business professionals as a compliance point of contact.

    Fidelity's working model integrates remote work with in-person collaboration to meet associate and business requirements effectively. Most hybrid roles currently entail on-site work every business day during one designated week per four-week period (starting September 2024, this will increase to two full weeks).
