    THE OPPORTUNITY


    As the Specialist, Restaurant Safety Support, you will assist operations by fielding phone calls and email inquiries related to employee illnesses and restaurant emergencies from 6AM-2AM, Monday-Sunday (some holidays included).

    By using , the "RSPS" will track employee exclusions and work closely with a medical staff and implement internal protocols to ensure the safety of our guests and crew.

    The "RSPS" will be trained to manage restaurant crisis that could result in a restaurant closure or food safety risk.


    Examples are, but not limited to:
    power outages, no running water, equipment failure.

    The "RSPS" will work closely with other Support departments, such as Facilities and Property Management, to minimally impact Operations and the guest experience.


    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Rapidly respond to time-sensitive matters related to food and restaurant safety
    o Hours of operation: 6am EST - 2am EST (the following morning)

    o Days of operation: 365 days a year, including full availability on corporate and federal holidays and limited hours on restaurant holidays


    • Receive and route 2,000+ phone calls each day (as well as emails), pertaining to employee illness, facilities issues, restaurant emergencies, and other various issues
    o Use Salesforce to capture and track these phone calls

    o Use various other applications to monitor and assist with these calls, often simultaneously; including, but not limited to:

    § Envysion

    § Gridpoint

    § Outlook

    § Restaurant Data Manager (RDM)

    § ServiceChannel

    § Slack

    § Workday


    • Receive and capture 500+ illness calls each day
    o Work in coordination with Zero Hour Health (ZHH) to ensure that employees are excluded for the proper amount of time depending on symptoms reported

    o Follow CDC guidance and adapt exclusion length if/when guidance is updated

    o Work with ZHH to ensure that exclusions are communicated to the employee and operations

    o Send daily reports to Payroll Team to ensure eligible employees are paid for their exclusions, if Covid-related


    • Receive and route various phone calls related to risk management; calls include, but are not limited to: o Customer incidents
    o Break-ins and theft

    o Cash handling

    o Scams

    o Workers' compensation matters


    • Capture and assist with 3000+ food outage and restaurant maintenance/closure cases each month
    o Use Salesforce to track outages/closures

    o Alert operations of decisions to close, if applicable

    o Provide signage if necessary

    o Advise restaurant teams how to submit a work order in ServiceChannel if necessary

    o Advise restaurant teams how to submit food quality reports if necessary

    o Ensure that all critical items are within proper temperature range if refrigeration/heating elements fail; if they are not, assist with creating a temporary corrective action

    o Use Restaurant Data Manager application to turn off digital orders or close a restaurant if necessary

    o Work in coordination with Facilities Team and Property Management Team to ensure that all equipment/building issues are repaired in a timely manner


    • Provide guidance on general food safety questions; if more advanced knowledge is required, work with Health & Safety (H&S) Team and/or Regional Restaurant Food Safety Manager (RRFSM) to help
    • Collaborate with H&S Team and applicable RRFSM on pest activity cases
    • Assist Payroll Team with 300+ cases each month pertaining to employee pay for illness exclusions
    • Use RDM to alter/update restaurant hours or turn on/off digital orders for any of the following reasons: o Process 100+ daily requests for altered hours due to staffing and/or food outages
    o Input future planned closures (holidays, mall/campus closures, etc.)

    o Input future planned closures for planned maintenance/construction (dishwasher installs, floor remodels, etc.)


    • Provide manual and/or daily automatic illness reports for the following parties: o Compliance
    o Operations

    o Payroll

    o Restaurant People Experience

    o Supply Chain


    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

    • Associate degree or Higher
    • 2+ years' experience in a related field
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of restaurants and field staff. Ability to approach problems in a logical, organized manner. Ability to stay calm under pressure. Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills. Excellent phone etiquette.
    • Ability to work flexible schedule. Able to work any shift from 6am to 2am. Able to work 10hr shifts. Able to work 4 days a week w/ 3 days off a week.

    PAY TRANSPARENCY
    A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $21.63 to $27.40. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
