    Civil Works, Inc. (CWI) has a tremendous opportunity for the expert Engineer who is seeking a leadership position. Join our well-established team and lead the growth of our Doral office

    In this role, you will leverage your experience in developing, designing, and managing Transportation projects and teams. You will be responsible for managing existing clients, cultivating new client relationships, leading project teams, and delivering project solutions.

    In the role of Vice President, Managing Principal, CWI will count on you to:

    • Identify prospective projects, meet with clients, develop Letters of Response (LOR's), Technical Proposals for Targeted Projects.
    • Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects.
    • Ensure the projects developed by CWI staff meet or exceed the design standards required by Federal, State of Local Agencies.
    • Assist in the project management of larger projects, as needed.
    • Ensure projects are developed in accordance with the approved scope of work, completion schedule and budget.
    • Serve as technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinates technical efforts within discipline areas.
    • Manage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants.
    • Perform other duties as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    • 15+ years post Professional Engineering License experience in Florida
    • Proficient knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads, and/or Autodesk Civil3D, FDOT Menus
    • Knowledge of FDOT Procedures and Policies
    • Knowledge of FDOT Districts 4 and 6 preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • An attitude of commitment to being a leader and active participant of our Civil Works Team

    Work schedule: Enjoy a four-day work week Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On rare occasions, Fridays and/or weekend work may be needed, with ample notice provided.

    Location: This is a full-time, in-office position that can be located in our Doral or Plantation, FL office.

    Travel: Travel is minimal and primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business. Most travel would occur between the Plantation and Miami offices.

    Compensation & Benefits: We offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package to enhance your personal needs. Salary is commensurate with experience.
    Benefits for regular full-time employees include:

    • 80 hours of accrued vacation time
    • 40 hours of accrued sick time
    • Holidays – 5 paid holidays, and we are closed the week between Christmas and New Years
    • Medical and Life Insurance - CWI pays 100% of the insurance premiums for Employee Only coverage. Dependent coverage and other benefits such as dental, vision, etc., are the responsibility of the employee.

    Civil Works, Inc. (CWI) is a consulting engineering firm, established in 1996, with headquarters in Miami, FL. We specialize in assisting clients in the development of Florida's growing transportation, infrastructure, storm water control, environmental, commercial, residential and recreational needs. Company experience includes projects for public sector clients such as the Florida Department of Transportation, Miami-Dade, Broward, other Florida Counties and their municipalities. Private sector client projects have included traffic studies and development plans for hotels, shopping centers, commercial and residential complexes. Our current primary focus is FDOT 3R Milling and Resurfacing projects.

    Civil Works has received the Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certifications from Miami-Dade, Broward, and other Counties and DBE from the FDOT.
