    Job Description

    We are looking for a Senior Tax Preparer/Assurance Accountant to join our team

    Tax Preparation:


    Able to prepare tax returns fully and independently, including but not limited to Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, S-Corps, LLCs, and Trusts.

    Accumulate, analyze, and process financial accounting data to prepare tax returns, estimated tax payments, forecasts, and financial accounting estimates of tax.

    Ensure client adherence to compliance-related deadlines such as extensions, tax estimate requirements, tax return filings and other tax related services.

    Maintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.

    Obtain and manage client documents, including digitizing and filing.
    Prepare adjusting entries and complete trial balances to prepare tax returns.
    Protects firm's value by keeping information confidential.

    Assurance Accountant:
    Perform financial statement Compilation, Review and Audit.
    Assess financial statement accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
    Assists with engagement planning.
    Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
    Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
    Create high quality reports and work papers using appropriate business and technical language.

    Qualifications:

    • Understanding of income tax law, as it relates to individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
    • Proficiency in preparing tax returns with complex tax issues and multi-state returns.
    • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
    • Experienced in Compilation, Review and Audit engagements (at least 2 years)
    • Professional, well organized, strong communication skills, responsible and detail-oriented skillset.
    • Ability to research complex tax issues.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal & written communications skills.
    • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work overtime through tax season, including weekends.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years in tax preparation experience with 10-person or larger CPA firms.
    • Minimum 2 years in assurance experience.
    • Undergraduate degree. Master's degree a plus.
    • Experience in CCH Axcess and Engagement a plus
