    Description

    Accounting Manager Opportunity:

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee general accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
    • Manage cost accounting activities including labor and overhead cost distribution, inventory valuation, and cost analysis.
    • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
    • Develop systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial information.
    • Collaborate with the manufacturing team on product costing and related cost tracking and reporting.
    • Coordinate budget preparation, financial forecasts, and variances reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and laws.
    • Establish and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
    • Engage with external auditors and oversee internal control assessments.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
    • Proven track record in managing labor costs, manufacturing costs, and financial reporting.
    • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
    • Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
    • Demonstrated capability to guide the financial planning process, analyzing company performance and risks.
