As the Accounting Manager at KCAS Bio, you will further our mission by overseeing the full cycle accounting function, including developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

You would be responsible for supervising and training team members, setting performance goals, and monitoring their progress.

In this role, we will rely on you to:
Manage the monthly financial closing process
Ensure accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions in compliance with applicable accounting guidelines
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations
Lead and develop the accounting team by providing guidance, training, and feedback
Oversee expense report submission and payment within Expensify
Oversee Accounts Payable processing, including Purchase Order matching and weekly payments
Collaborate with other team members in making process improvements and troubleshooting issues within Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
Assist in coordinating the annual financial audit
Help guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Protect assets by monitoring and enforcing internal controls
Other duties and special projects as assigned

To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration
4+ years of broad accounting experience
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
Experience in reviewing and researching transactions within an ERP system - Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred
Self-starter attitude with tenacity and drive; Constantly looks for ways to improve processes and procedures

$90,000 - $105,000 a year
