    Description

    DEKKO is adding a Strategic Account Manager to the team. In this role you will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships and leading all sales development efforts, for accounts in the Hospitality furniture industry.

    Ideal candidate will reside in the Midwest.

    What you'll do:

    Make sales contacts with OEM in hospitality space, research customer needs and develop application of products and services:

    • Research and develop list of Key OEM customers.
    • Assist in market research to determine customer needs & providing information sales staff.
    • Evaluating product and application of customers' technical & manufacturing needs
    • Following up on sales and applications for customers
    • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
    • Establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales.

    Establish & maintain industry contacts that lead to sales:

    • Establish effective communication plan with customers. Develop technical presentations and workshops.
    • Participate in making presentations to OEMs, users, suppliers, etc.
    • Maintain up to date awareness of activities, industry trends and government regulations.
    • Establish long-term ongoing repeat relationships.
    • Meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals.
    • Resolve problems with products and services for customers.

    Participate in sales forecasting and planning:

    • Producing regular reports and final plans for Manager's approval.
    • Maintain an up to date awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate with customer plans.
    • Monitoring, analyzing and communicating monthly sales data to contribute to product/service planning.

    Participate in research for development of new products, modification of existing products, & termination of ineffective products:

    • Evaluate product and service marketability.
    • Recommending new technical products and product modifications or terminations.
    • Gathering analyzing and sharing customer technical information and feedback.
    • Working with other team members to identify future customer needs.
    • Determining customer satisfaction with products and services.
    • Maintaining an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices.

    What you'll need:

    • OEM, Furniture sales experience required.
    • Minimum 5 years of sales experience utilizing custom solutions approach
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to travel, 50% - 60%
    • 4-year college degree with a focus on a technical or engineering major
