Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance.

Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.

The Agile Coach shall provide support services to develop and implement the delivery of a pragmatic set of services in support of BISDs Agile IT Modernization capabilities.

ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate an in-depth understanding of Agile processes, manage and execute backlog refining sessions for sprint teams, and provide recommendations based on metrics evaluated.

Coach project teams and assist them to execute Agile practices in achieving Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment and Delivery.

Assist in easing the organizational cultural transition from well-established federal hierarchical structures, processes, and reporting to the transformation that Agile tends to introduce.

Help the project team to overcome internal barriers to excellence by assisting with tasks such as defining the Definition of Done, estimation of stories, and navigating through difficult Agile issues.

Analyze current project delivery and governance processes to identify pain points, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Use Agile development framework to gather requirements, estimate tasks, distill business requirements into incremental features, and demonstrate new functionality to product owners.

Work with leadership, project managers, business analysts, IT specialists, product owners, and others who are responsible for forward progress and proven results, focusing on the facilitation of events that help create change and improvement.

Expert facilitator to elicit and document future-state processes and high-level requirements.
Assist in developing training material for junior Agile teammates as well as, planning, organizing, and conducting training sessions.
Support business development activities as required (e.g., customer technical capabilities briefings, past performance content, technical solutions).Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited university ORHigh school diploma or GED equivalent and an additional 6+ years of relevant experience may be used instead of a degreeMust have a minimum of 4+ years of experience as an Agile Coach or Scrum MasterMust have a minimum of 2+ years of experience with Agile tools, including JIRA and Confluence to support reporting and deliverables trackingMust have a minimum of 1+ years of experience with both Scrum and Kanban methodologiesMust have experience with teaching technical teams the basic Agile framework conceptsMust have experience with defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or componentsMust have experience with creating solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional team environmentScrum Alliance Certified ScrumMaster Certification requiredMust be a US citizenBackground check required with the ability to obtain Public TrustKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesCertification in Agile methodologies, like Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) is preferredExperience with Microsoft Azure DevOps preferred but not requiredDeep understanding of Agile principles and practices, as well as various frameworks, like Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFeExperience with agile tools and software (e.g., JIRA, ConfluenceExperience coaching teams and individuals on Agile practices, facilitating workshops, and fostering a culture of continuous improvementStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams to adopt Agile practices and mindsetExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise mannerExperience in organizational transformation and change managementAdvanced skills in problem-solvingGood work ethic and active desire to learnSkillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlinesExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work both independently and within a teamAbility to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvementAbility to be in a leadership roleAbility to meet minimum security requirementsHow youll growAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
