    GridIron IT is seeking a Release Train Engineer local to Washington, DC.

    Active TS (SCI Eligible) Clearance Required

    Job Duties:
    • As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) you will be the facilitator for Agile Release Train (ART) consisting of five product teams in accordance with Agile principles and SAFe core values.
    • With this role you will lead the development efforts by conveying the vision of the portfolio, outlining, and prioritizing work based on creating business value.
    • As the RTE you will liaise with stakeholders to drive product road mapping ensuring their interests are included in the release or iteration cycle.
    • You will also coordinate with the various product teams within your ART and other ARTs that are part of the Solution Train.
    • You will assist Business Owners and Product Management in work prioritization and decision-making.
    • You will also ensure that team members understand project objectives, maintain product and portfolio backlogs, and release planning.
    • You will also facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the Program Increment objectives.
    Responsibilities:
    Support Program Increment (PI) Execution and Optimize Flow:
    • Track progress
    • Support Agile Release Train (ART) backlog refinement
    • Promote DevOps and Continuous Delivery
    • Assist Product Owners and Product Management
    • Reduce cross-team dependencies
    • Optimize the flow of value
    • Track risks and maintain risk registry
    • Facilitate periodic synchronization events
    • ART SCRUM of SCRUMs
    • Systems Demos & PI System Demos
    Facilitate PI Planning:
    • Help Agile Release Train (ART) Prepare for PI Planning
    • Strategic alignment and readiness
    • Leadership and Team preparedness
    • Manage logistics for the event
    • Facilitate the PI Planning Event
    • Review purpose, agenda, and expectations
    • Introduce speakers to discuss business context, product vision, and development context
    • Coach team breakout sessions
    Coach the ART:
    • Train the team
    • Coach with powerful questions (What are we not seeing? What other possibilities or options exist?)
    • Coach ITPMs on team events and practices
    • Coach ART roles
