    Position: Senior Contract Administrator

    Location: Garden City, NY

    Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator with a strong background in procurement and contract negotiation, particularly dealing with state and government funding contracts. The Senior Contract Administrator will play a critical role in managing the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maximizing value for the company. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in procurement roles, with a focus on contract administration and government-funded projects.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Contract Management: Oversee the end-to-end contract management process, from contract drafting and negotiation to execution and closeout. Ensure that contracts are aligned with company objectives, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and reflect the best interests of the organization.
    2. Government Contracting: Manage contracts funded by state and government agencies, including but not limited to RFP responses, contract negotiations, and compliance with funding regulations. Stay abreast of changes in government procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maximize opportunities for funding.
    3. Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and other third parties to achieve favorable terms and conditions. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to resolve contractual issues and mitigate risks effectively.
    4. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor contract compliance throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring that all parties adhere to contractual obligations, timelines, and performance standards. Develop and implement processes to track and report on compliance metrics.
    5. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and government agencies involved in the contract process. Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues.
    6. Risk Management: Identify and assess contractual risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. Work closely with legal counsel and risk management teams to address legal and regulatory concerns and protect the interests of the company.
    7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation, including contracts, amendments, and related correspondence. Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance, and financial metrics for management review.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 5 or more years of experience in procurement roles, with a focus on contract administration and negotiation.
    • Strong knowledge of government contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and state procurement laws.
    • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing complex contracts, particularly with state and government agencies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office applications.
    Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
