- Provide visionary leadership to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives and drive growth in the freight forwarding segment.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing and business development initiatives to expand our freight forwarding services and increase revenue.
- Direct and coordinate all aspects of freight forwarding operations, including air and sea freight options, domestic transportation, customs clearance, and compliance services.
- Ensure compliance with national and international trade regulations, customs clearance procedures, and agreements.
- Provide expert advice on customs and tariff matters, as well as letter of credit handling, to facilitate smooth import and export processes.
- Ensure timely and efficient handling of shipments, maintaining defined transit times and delivering house-to-house services as required.
- Collaborate with clients to provide customized packaging solutions and project management support to meet their specific logistics needs.
- Manage transport insurance arrangements to mitigate risk and provide peace of mind to clients.
- Oversee warehousing and fulfillment services, ensuring efficient inventory management and order processing.
- Implement best practices for warehouse operations to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and reduce costs in the warehousing and fulfillment segment.
- Lead and develop a team of 18 professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and individual growth.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination across departments to achieve organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of success in driving business growth, managing freight forwarding operations, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Expertise in air and sea freight options, customs clearance procedures, and compliance services.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and logistics software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist) are a plus.
