    Overall Purpose of this Role:


    The Individual Giving Manager is a frontline fundraising position responsible for creating and implementing strategies with donors who have a history of or capacity to make annual gifts ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

    This role will serve as an internal liaison within the Resource Development department, partnering with colleagues to determine best strategies for effective solicitation and stewardship of current and prospective donors.


    The Individual Giving Manager will play a central role in managing the execution of the donor recognition and stewardship plan for donors of all levels, ensuring that the donor experience fulfills the HFUW strategic plan.


    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    Fundraising for Impact

    Serve as the primary party responsible for executing the $1,000 and $10,000 giving level.


    Manage a non-static portfolio of no less than 85 donors to deepen their commitment and understanding of the organizational mission.


    Thoughtfully engage cross departmentally, ensuring that preparation proceeds each donor interaction with a thoroughly defined plan to ensure continuation of donor conversations.


    Develop individualized cultivation plans for leadership donors, with an emphasis on current leadership donors who have the capacity to grow their giving level.

    Maintain appropriate and consistent communication and interaction with new and existing donors- providing an exceptional experience and relationship cultivation.

    Internal Collaboration


    Meet and communicate regularly with other members of the Resource Development team to ensure alignment in strategy and to further build a culture of individual philanthropy within every department initiative.

    Take initiative to identify opportunities to enhance the individual donor experience within the framework of a workplace campaign.


    With support from the Resource Development Coordinator, oversee proper acknowledgement of donor gifts by drafting thank-you letters, greeting cards, memos, newsletters, reports, timely touch points and impact reports.


    Work with Resource Development team to develop a strategy and build a pipeline for new prospects from outside of the organization's existing portfolio.

    Stay current with fundraising trends including, but not limited to, data management, software, research methodologies, and stewardship best practices.

    Approach interactions with every HFUW department with empathy and collegiality... ensuring that they are included, as required, in the planning process early on.

    Participate in special events throughout the year.

    Contribute to organizational success by performing other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in fundraising or sales in lieu of degree.

    Minimum of 2 years in political campaign, client service, sales and/or fundraising experience.

    Previous non-profit development experience strongly preferred.

    Experience with donor and/or sales customer relationship management (CRM) databases a plus.

    Proficient with technology and utilizing the Microsoft Office suite.

    Strong written communication and ability to develop correspondence for external audiences.

    Strong verbal communication and confident in making "cold calls" to build relationships with new donors.

    Current with fundraising trends including, but not limited to, data management, software, research methodologies, and stewardship best practices.

    Collect and record all donor and prospect interactions in organization's CRM.

    Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.

    Ability to work occasionally evenings and weekends, based on business need.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


    Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending, occasional lifting of items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds, regularly moving throughout the building between floors, traveling to outside meetings, regular use of standard office equipment such as the telephone, copier, fax and computer.

    Demands also involve protracted concentration. Job involves frequent and routinely intense public contact.
