- Performs advanced financial transactions to include validation, vouch, and review of departmental payment documents. Perform editing and correction of weekly batched payables. Perform work in paperless workflow related to purchase card workflows, as assigned. Entering journal and cash vouchers to the financial reporting system. Troubleshooting customer issues and responding to customer inquiries and requests. Perform duties assigned with accuracy and ensuring compliance with established controls and accounting principles.
- Respond to queries related to Accounting Division and provide problem resolution for departmental personnel.
- Reconciles various monthly/quarterly reconciliations, as assigned.
- Prepares a wide variety of documents and reports related to accounting operations, as assigned.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level, as assigned.
- Under the guidance of the Accounting Manager, performs work during the Annual Audit, such as revenue recognition, payroll accruals, compensated absence calculations, etc.

Job Description:
Incumbents are responsible for performing advanced financial transactions and reporting in support of the Unified Governments' various departments. Duties may include checking and reviewing information submitted by other departments, editing, and correcting weekly batched payables; entering accounts receivable; entering and correction journal and cash vouchers; processing weekly payments; preparing a wide variety of reports; and various account reconciliations as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Positions in this class typically require fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Finance or closely related field and three years of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Salary Range:
$25.96-$34.75/hr.
