    The Opportunity:
    DOZR is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate is a data-driven, quantitative professional with a proven track record of managing successful SEM campaigns.

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing our paid search strategies to drive high-quality traffic, increase brand visibility, and achieve business objectives.

    Additionally, you will manage our SEO team (two direct reports), overseeing the SEO strategy and implementation of onsite and offsite organic search expansion.

    Both US-based and Canada-based candidates are encouraged to apply.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Campaign Strategy and Planning:


    Develop and execute comprehensive SEM strategies (keyword identification/optimization, bidding, ad copy, and landing page optimization) aligned with overall marketing and business goals.

    Fluidity with tool sets like SEMRush, Moz, Ahrefs, SoyFu, Google Search Tools, etc...
    Plan and manage budgets effectively to achieve maximum ROI.


    Campaign Execution and Optimization:
    Create, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across various platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.).
    Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and implement adjustments to improve key metrics such as CTR, CPC, and conversion rates.
    A/B testing of ad copy, landing pages, and other campaign elements to enhance performance.


    Advanced Analytics:


    Experience using sophisticated data analysis techniques to gain deeper insights, segment target audiences, optimize performance, and make more informed decisions.

    The ability to go beyond basic metrics and delve into complex data sets to refine SEM strategies and improve the overall effectiveness of campaigns.

    Experience with building and executing real-time bidding strategies at the user or group level is a plus.
    Experience building and using predictive models to estimate potential conversions, identify high-value keywords, and optimize bidding strategies.
    Implement tracking mechanisms to measure and report on the performance of SEM campaigns.
    Provide regular reports on key metrics, trends, and insights.
    Use analytics tools to assess the impact of SEM efforts on overall website traffic and conversions.

    Technology Fluency

    Exhibit platform mastery with various advertising platforms, such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other social media platforms.
    Comfortable with adopting new technologies, understanding cross-channel integration, and troubleshooting and problem solving technical and data issues.
    Basic understanding and experience implementing automation tools and artificial intelligence (AI) features within advertising platforms. Ability to leverage automation to streamline routine tasks, optimize bidding strategies, and enhance overall campaign performance.

    Team Leadership

    Develop and nurture a high-performing team of two direct reports by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members. Encourage continuous learning and skill development to enhance individual and team capabilities.
    Set clear performance expectations and goals for the team aligned with the overall SEM and SEO strategy and objectives. Regularly monitor performance metrics and provide constructive feedback to team members to optimize performance and productivity.

    Lead the team through periods of change and adaptation, such as updates to search engine algorithms or shifts in market trends.

    Encourage flexibility and resilience to navigate challenges and seize opportunities effectively.
    Act as a mediator and facilitator in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges within the team. Utilize effective problem-solving techniques to overcome obstacles and maintain team cohesion.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related field preferred. MBA or consulting experience a plus.
    4+ years proven SEM experience, managing annual budgets of $5.0M+ in service of B2C companies. Specific experience with using SEM as a lead generation tool a plus.
    2+ years of experience managing a team.
    In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other search engine advertising platforms. Google Ads and Bing Ads certification is a plus.
    Strong quantitative analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Understanding of statistical methods a plus.
    Experience with A/B testing and cultivating a test and learn mentality.
    Excellent understanding of SEO principles and their integration with SEM strategies.
    Strong communication and collaboration skills.
