    Description

    Join Our Team as a Senior Cost Estimator

    • Provide Cost Estimating Engineering Services to the Principal Estimator
    • Interact with in house Design and Construction Personnel
    • Be responsible for the development and preparation of Capital Project Cost Estimates for the Capital Program and various in house design projects during the planning and design phases of the project
    • Prepare, maintain, modify, and revise cost estimates for all aspects of the project including studies, conceptual design options, and negotiate estimates for Change Orders in construction
    • Cost estimates shall be itemized, rolled up, and summarized in a spreadsheet format

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering, architecture, business administration with demonstrated Cost Estimating background in disciplines like Electrical, Mechanical, Signal Systems, and Communications
    • Experience with multi-million dollar projects
    • Negotiating Skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Computer Applications
    • In-depth knowledge and experience in capital cost estimating techniques
    • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications related to capital project cost estimating
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Expertise in electrical, conveying systems, communication engineering, CBTC systems, PSLAN, fiber optic network systems, and other new technologies is preferred
