    Our client is seeking a Senior Director of Product Licensing for their powerhouse brand based in the FASHION industry. This role is accountable for creation, development, and execution of Licensing product business strategies which maximize revenue and profit and stay 'on brand' and in alignment with their global brand product assortment. Will ensure all license product strategies are brand led and align to the wider brand proposition. Will be responsible for managing external licensees and contractual terms to deliver business growth and financial targets. This role requires exceptional communication and influencing skills with the ability to partner with internal stake holders across Design, Merchandising, Finance, and Marketing and requires prior experience leading in a highly matrixed global brand led enterprise organization. Will be bringing depth of experience, working within an organization that is brand/development focused and will serve as an ambassador of the brand.

    • The salary for this role is approximately 200k BOE

    Responsibilities:

    • Be accountable for management of all Global & North America Product licensee businesses
    • Ideate and establish brand/brand right product initiatives which complement internal Global product assortment while growing market share and maintaining relevancy and driving financial results through our licensee partnerships
    • Represent the company with external strategic partners at executive and c-suite levels across more than 20 licensees/40+ product categories, influencing and making informed decisions to drive the business
    • Develop strategic initiatives in partnership with EVP Licensing and Product Licensees that will enhance and grow the various product categories in support of long-range planning and good, better, best product segmentation
    • Align with brand strategy and cross-functional wholesale/regional teams on O&O initiatives that are applicable to licensees
    • Partner on all contract negotiations and execution of license agreements, renewals, and amendments in partnership with brand leaders and finance
    • Prepare semi-annual budgets with inputs from licensees; review monthly financial re-forecasting to ensure licensees remain on-track; and challenge licensees on additional opportunities to improve performance
    • Collaborate/align with Global brand teams (Marketing, Design, Merch., VM) and ensure licensees have appropriate resources and brand support to achieve strategic goals and fulfill their contractual requirements
    • Provide cross-functional strategic and operational support for transitions licensed to in-house or in-house to licensed; collaborate with strategy and finance teams on business case/ viability analysis
    • Oversee Product Licensing NY-based team
    • Manage two direct Reports

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years in brand development/product licensing with experience in fashion/beauty/consumer products.
    • 4-year college degree BA/BS; MBA a plus
    • Strategic analytical thinker with the ability to develop clear strategies which deliver upon corporate objectives
    • Expert knowledge of apparel retail environment and competitive brand landscape
    • Financial acumen with understanding of legal documents and negotiations
    • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
    • Exceptional brand-building experience
    • Team oriented and management/leadership experience a must
    • Experience working with international offices/partners in a global matrixed business model
