    Description

    Eugenia Kim, Inc. is seeking a Summer Product Development Intern to assist the team We are looking for an intern 3-5 days per week that is a Junior or Senior. The intern will be assisting the team in all areas of product development, along with design and production, so this is a wonderful opportunity to learn about working for a luxury fashion accessories company. This position requires a high-energy, hard-working go-getter and team player that pays very strong attention to detail and believes that no task is too small.

    The intern works directly alongside our design and product development teams. There are many opportunities for a self-motivated intern to handle a variety of projects across departments, and to learn a wide range of skills in participating in this hands-on internship.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research ideas and trends, contribute ideas and input
    • Source fabrics, materials, trims both locally and via showroom visits and trade shows in NYC
    • Help update Excels that are sent to factories and for internal costing
    • Choose Pantones to match materials as requested by the design team
    • Calculate yields both manually and in Illustrator
    • Copy patterns to ship to overseas factories
    • Work hands-on with the in-house sample room to help realize samples
    • Assist the Production department as needed
    • Assist the PR department as needed to pull samples for shoots
    • Assist the Social Media department as needed to do BTS for in-house sample making and other tasks

    Requirements:

    • Commitment of 3-5 full days per week
    • Must live in New York Metropolitan area as this is an onsite internship
    • Previous experience in Fashion in schooling or work experience
    • Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Microsoft Excel experience a major plus
    • Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
    • Must be able to receive school credit.
