    Description

    The role of Senior Director at CK Global Product Licensing involves overseeing the creation, development, and execution of licensing product business strategies with the aim of maximizing revenue and profit, while staying true to the brand and aligning with the global brand product kitchen. As a key member of the Licensing leadership team under the leadership of EVP Global Licensing, you will collaborate closely with senior CK leadership to ensure that all product strategies are in line with the brand and contribute to the overall brand proposition. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing external licensees and contractual agreements to drive business growth and meet financial targets.

    The perfect candidate for this role will possess exceptional communication skills and be adept at influencing others, working closely with various internal stakeholders including Design, Merchandising, Finance, and Marketing. Previous experience in a global brand-led organization will be advantageous. A strong grasp of the competitive landscape, particularly in terms of brand and product development, is essential.

    Preferred candidates will be well-established leaders in the apparel and lifestyle licensee industry, having built lasting relationships with licensees and possessing the ability to influence and manage external stakeholders and strategic partnerships successfully.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage all CK Global & North America Product licensee businesses
    • Develop brand-appropriate product initiatives to enhance the Global product Kitchen
    • Represent the company with external partners at executive levels
    • Create strategic initiatives to support product category growth
    • Align with CK brand strategy and regional teams on initiatives
    • Lead contract negotiations and execute license agreements
    • Prepare and review financial budgets and forecasts
    • Collaborate with Global brand teams for support
    • Provide strategic support for transitions from licensed to in-house products and vice versa
    • Oversee the CK Product Licensing team in NY
    • Work with Amsterdam-based Licensing team for support in regional product licensees

    Qualifications:
    • College degree, BA/BS required; MBA preferred
    • 10+ years in brand development/product licensing
    Key Attributes:
    • Strategic thinker with expertise in developing corporate strategies
    • Expertise in the apparel retail sector and brand landscape
    • Financial acumen and understanding of legal documentation and negotiations
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Proven brand-building experience and leadership abilities
    • Experience in global matrixed business models and international collaboration

    Pay Range:
    $160,000 - $200,000
