- Understand the design project and outline client objectives
- Prepare, and develop with the team where required, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and other documents relating to the design
- Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase
- Coordinate with Project Manager through the production and administration phases providing necessary coordination in assuring the integrity of design intent
- Communicate with specialty consultants, vendors, manufacturers, and internal/external project team members for project design coordination
- Coordinate with the project team in reviewing submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to assure the integrity of design intent
- Co-ordinate the internal design team for the project
- Set and manage timelines for the completion of the interior design projects
- Source materials and products included in plans
- Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.
- Take responsibility for the development of the design and the project with input from the Associate Partner or Partner in charge of key project stages
- Liaise, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organizations or companies
- Seek continuing professional development
- Thorough knowledge of and compliance with F+P procedures and standards
- Contribute, or otherwise assist, as required
- Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based
- Show extensive portfolio of own design work
- Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic
- Strong knowledge of the finish material sources required to fully coordinate the finish plans, schedules, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of the FF+E sources required to fully coordinate the FF&E plans, schedules, and specifications
- Project management experience
- Have an Industry recognized diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
- Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
- Able to integrate design requirements with architecture
- Able to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- Able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
- Has a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent, lifelong learning
- Able to manage and prioritize tasks and time efficiently
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
