- Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with transportation carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure reliable and cost-effective service.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams, to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee inventory management activities, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and cycle counting.
- Manage transportation budgets, analyze freight costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing logistics operations.
- Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in logistics management, with demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence in logistics operations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable logistics strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with logistics software systems and tools (e.g., WMS, TMS) is preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance requirements.
- Ability to adapt to change, work under pressure, and effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
