- Lead EHS Programs: Oversee all safety and environmental initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulations and company standards. Develop and implement strategies to improve EHS performance.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure strict compliance with regulations and company EHS practices. Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Project Management: Identify, design, and execute EHS projects to address safety and environmental challenges. Take charge of corrective actions.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Lead efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce the plant's environmental impact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sustainability practices.
- Training and Education: Conduct EHS training to raise awareness of safety protocols, environmental responsibilities, and regulatory compliance.
- Emergency Preparedness: Lead the development and maintenance of the Emergency Preparedness Program, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with best practices.
- Inspections and Audits: Coordinate and lead internal and external inspections and audits. Address findings and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Knowledge Transfer: Share your EHS expertise with teams, empowering them with best practices.
- Workers' Compensation: Oversee workers' compensation administration to safeguard employee well-being.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering, chemistry, industrial hygiene, environmental science, etc.)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive EHS management experience with strong understanding of regulations and reporting.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Extensive knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Safety or industrial hygiene professional certification.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience managing process safety management programs.
- Experience leading root cause analysis investigations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills to identify EHS concerns and develop solutions.
- Strategic thinking to align EHS initiatives with organizational goals.
- Collaborative approach to foster a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and compliance.

Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety
In this pivotal role, you'll champion the safety and well-being of our plant employees, the surrounding community, and the environment. You'll oversee a wide range of environmental, health and safety (EHS) matters, ensuring strict adherence to regulations.
You'll be part of the plant leadership team, reporting to the Plant Director and collaborating with the company's EHS and Sustainability Manager. You'll also manage a team of 3 direct reports.
