Kylee Davidson

I'm a senior at Ohio State University majoring in Geographical Information Science. In my major we mainly study programming, data analysis, and geovisualization. I like to stay involved and learn more about my interests, so I am a part of a few clubs on campus. These include Cybersecurity Club, Women in Cybersecurity Club, and Fresh Start Club. In my free time I study Russian, watch movies, crochet, and run. I'm looking for a position that will provide me with resources to learn and experience to build my career. 

During my time in university I've held two technical positions. The first position was a university career with Ohio State Classroom Services where I worked as a Classroom and Digital Union Support Technicians. In this position, technicians completed maintenance forms for each piece of technology in classrooms and digital unions at least once a week. In addition, we supported faculty, staff, and students with on call service for any issues they encountered with the technology, and installed and assisted in trainings for technology updates. My most recent position was with Abbott in their Core Diagnostics division as an IT Intern. My placement was under a Business Relations Manager where I learned how to work as a liaison between technology and business departments. I gained experience leading meetings to gather information and complete documents for our regulatory processes and software lifecycles. The IT Interns were also assigned into groups to complete a presentation on a proposal for a necessary business solution. My team created this business solution in the form of a demo video and process flow that outlined a proposed application and its functions. As a personal project, I utilized LinkedIn learning to study the 21+ hours of videos covering the material for the CompTIA Security+ certificate. I loved working in a fast paced environment, and I hope to continue learning more about how to apply tech knowledge in a corporate environment. 

I'm currently completing my B.S. in Geographical Information Science at Ohio State University.
