- Continually reviews the research processes and provides feedback to the Principal Investigator, research coordinators, and other members of the research team.
- Functions as resource regarding the clinical research and/or grants process.
- Demonstrates expert understanding of the federal and institutional regulations and policies governing clinical research involving protection of human subjects (JCAHO, FDA, GCP, OHRP, IRB, NIH/NCRR).
- Functions as a resource in area of expertise for those professionals requiring assistance.
- Participates in Shared Leadership.
- Contributes to Children's National's MAGNET Journey.
- Ensures that nursing practice is based on evidence of best practice.
- Participates in the Division of Nursing's Performance Improvement process at the division or unit level.

Description
The Clinical Research Nurse Program Manager (CRNPM) is responsible for the management and overall direction of large and complex research projects, in close collaboration with the clinical investigator, including the day-to-day operations of large research programs following Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. The CRNPM participates in setting standards and monitoring the quality of care for research protocols. The individual facilitates multidisciplinary collaboration in meeting the complex needs as they relate to the research process. All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, Children's National Policies and Procedures and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. Children's National supports the development of RN relationships within the community, specifically those relationships associated with the health and well-being of the community at large.Qualifications:
