Our client, a leading health provider in Chicagoland, is seeking a Benefits Manager to join their Total Rewards team. As an agency recruiter, I'm excited to share this opportunity where you'll lead the Benefits team in planning, developing, and implementing benefit and wellbeing programs, policies, and procedures
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Benefits Programs:
· Lead the evaluation, recommendation, development, and implementation of benefit plans and programs.
· Continuously review and assess benefit strategies, programs, and technologies against external best practices.
· Develop effective employee communications and education, particularly during annual enrollments and New Staff Orientations.
· Manage all leave of absence policies and processes.
· Oversee the Retirement Plan, enhancing employee usage and contributions.
· Ensure compliance with all government-required testing, auditing, and filing for health and welfare plans and retirement programs (e.g., 403(b)).
· Supervise the Benefits team, including hiring, development, and performance management.
· Maintain compliance with all benefits-related governmental regulations, including ACA.
· Manage relationships with outside vendors and brokers.
· Ensure consistency across all programs where appropriate.
· Lead subsidiary benefit and wellness program development and management.
· Handle RFP processes for insurance premium negotiations and potential benefit partners.
· Oversee benefit vendor invoicing and survey input and analysis.
· Stay current with legislative actions regarding benefits.
· Lead the organization-wide employee wellbeing strategy and program.
· Oversee the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), managing vendors, tracking metrics, and promoting employee engagement.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
· CEBS or CBP certification preferred.
· Thorough knowledge of current benefit laws and regulations.
· At least 5 years of progressive experience in benefits design and administration.
· Minimum 2 years of management experience.
What the organization offers:
· Competitive pay with an annual salary starting at $100,000, adjustable based on experience and expertise.
· Generous PTO including 9 federal holidays, 8 days of sick leave, and 15-22 days of personal and vacation time.
· Comprehensive benefits package including four medical insurance plans, dental, and vision insurance.
· 403(b) retirement plan with a 3% employer match and immediate vesting.
· Employee assistance program (EAP).
