- 1-3 years experience with physician claims specifically calling insurance providers (Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payors i.e. BCBS, Aetna, Humana)
- Has used EPIC and Availity, or similar EMR systems (McKesson, Meditech, Cerner, Nextgen, etc.)
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Understands and can read EOB's
- Able to multitask, especially when on long hold times to get through to providers
- Comfortable calling insurance providers and being firm with them on the phone to try and get claim paid

NSURANCE FOLLOW-UP POSITION IN HEALTHCARE
Company: Working for a revenue cycle management company.
Job Description:
-They will be responsible for reaching out to payers to collect on what is owed, ultimately to close out patient accounts
-Researches remits and EOB's for complete and accurate payments or denials
-Document account activity accurately and promptly during or immediately after each processed encounter
-Responsible for maintaining work queues
-Professional candidate with extensive Revenue Cycle experience
-Duties include editing claims, billing out claims, following up with insurance companies, appeals, denials, collections, and payment posting
-Familiar with Medicare, Medicaid and BCBS payers
-Will work onsite 100% until manager decides employee can become hybrid
