_Position Summary_
Responsible for supporting the RCM Manager in leading day-to-day operations of the Revenue Cycle Specialist team. Must exhibit a commitment to create and uphold an environment that supports department and team collaboration. Assist with improving operation efficiencies, monitor/coordinate daily processes, and workflow; lead training activities based on business needs. Identify A/R trends, opportunities to reduce A/R and improve financial performance, while providing superior customer service. Lead role will also support department projects in conjunction with the RCM Manager.

Essential Functions of the Role_**- Responsible for daily AR assignment.

  • Leads team efforts through setting a good example, communicating clearly, and setting goals.
  • Assume responsibilities of Revenue Cycle Manager(s) in his/her absence
  • Assist Revenue Cycle Manager in maintaining workflows to ensure department and staff goals are met
  • Maintain current knowledge of payor trends and collaborate with RCM Manager to implement process improvements as necessary
  • Identify trends in payments, denials, and cash posting that compromise the ability of the department to meet established goals
Assist employees with day-to-day questions, issues, or problems

  • Works patient accounts and coordinates backup coverage when employees are not present
  • Prepares reports and presents data during client status calls
  • Assist with monthly audits/performance evaluation for each assigned team member
  • Monitor assigned work queues daily to ensure performance goals are being met
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to employee and patient records
  • Assist leadership with department projects as directed

_Minimum Qualifications:
_


  • Knowledge of billing and revenue cycle terminology
  • Display excellent communication skills (verbal & written), good judgment, tact, initiative, and resourcefulness
  • Thorough understanding of accounts receivable, collections, billing, appeals, and denials
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, clients, partners, and corporate executives
  • Must be flexible with a can do attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high pressure situations

Desired Qualifications:
_**- Cardiology specialty experience preferred

  • Physician, facility & global billing expertise preferred.
  • Knowledge of Athena, EPIC, Next Gen, GEMMS, Intergy, SIS and/or Lytec is a plus

Work Environment
This position will be remote.


Physical Requirements
This position requires full range of body motion.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
