The opportunity: Reporting to the Learning & Development Senior Manager, the Learning & Development Consultant partners with business unit leaders to develop performance and learning solutions for new hires and existing employees. This role has a strong emphasis on customer service etiquette, and product knowledge in short and long term disability, leave management, and supplemental health to prepare new and existing staff in delivery of service excellence during intake of new claims and in responding to customer inquiries. How you will contribute:
  • Design learning solutions using various digital tools and platforms
  • Deliver training to new hires and existing staff
  • Collaborate with hiring managers on staffing projections, new hire effective dates, and coordination of training schedule
  • Oversee trainee learning and behavioral progress, providing regular feedback and guidance to employee and their manager
  • Develop and deliver learning solutions evaluation tools, metrics, and protocols for individuals and stakeholders
  • Track and report results and outcomes of learning solutions efficacy
  • Address any learning program deficiency root cause with leadership and other Learning and Quality professionals, and propose recommendations​ to business leaders to enhance the program and individual and functional performance
  • Collaborate across FullscopeRMS and Sun Life to leverage expertise, technology, and best practices
  • What you will bring with you :
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct L&D experience (Facilitation and Instructional Design) with a background in disability/leave management
  • Product knowledge in the areas of leave management, short- and long-term disability, and supplemental health, or equivalent related products is highly preferred
  • Instructional design expertise
  • Ability to translate business goals into desired on-the-job performance
  • Ability to determine whether training is part of a viable solution to correct performance gaps
  • Strong knowledge of customer service standards and providing service excellence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Work effectively with others who have different perspectives, backgrounds, and/or styles
  • Ability to providing constructive feedback to learners and colleagues
  • Take initiative to improve team's effectiveness and/or business processes
  • Self-starter: ability to partner and work with subject matter experts and business area stakeholders to derive key learning goals and instructional needs independently and interdependently within a team environment and in a virtual environment
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness

  • Southern region: $76,900-$115,400 annually
  • Central region: $81,100-$121,700 annually
  • Northern region: $86,700-$130,100 annually
  • If you are a Colorado resident , the salary range for this position is $73,400-$110,100 annually. If you are a New York resident , the salary range for this position is $86,700-$130,100 annually. If you are Washington resident , the salary range for this position is $81,100-$121,700 annually.We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
