    Description

    Our client, a prominent hedge fund located in New York, NY, is currently seeking a Fund Accountant to join their internal Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of hedge and private equity funds, demonstrating proficiency in investor allocations and diverse fee calculations. Additionally, the selected individual will actively contribute to year-end reporting, account audits, and the preparation of year-end financial statements, entailing collaboration with administrators and auditors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Execute investor allocations and various fee calculations.
    • Facilitate year-end reporting and accounts audits.
    • Prepare year-end financial statements and engage with administrators and auditors.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of three years of relevant experience, encompassing prior public accounting or fund accounting roles; CPA designation preferred.
    • Proficiency in GAAP reporting, financial statement compilation, master/feeder accounting, partnership allocations, and series accounting.
    • Thorough understanding of fund structures, management fees, and waterfall calculations.
