    Your role at Clorox:


    This role will be responsible for owning certain monthly and quarterly close processes and accounting which may include technical areas such as revenue recognition, SEC reporting, accounting for derivatives, and/or stock based compensation, amongst others.

    In this role you will gain a deep understanding of technical and operational accounting, financial reporting controls and as well as be responsible for leading up to three reports.

    This role will also play a critical role in leading various initiatives as we reimagine how we work and drive for a faster, simpler and bolder organization.


    In this role, you will:


    Lead execution of monthly and quarterly close processes including, but not limited to, reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, preparation of footnotes and disclosures for SEC reporting, new contract review and leading a team of up to three reports.

    Drive value creation by reimagining how we work, including finding opportunities and implementing changes to be more effective and efficient.

    Provide technical (US GAAP accounting guidance) and operational support to business unit partners including the SBUs and sales organization and other corporate functions.

    Lead internal controls for respective accounting areas.
    Other ad hoc projects/requests.


    What we look for:

    Experience:
    Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements with ability to do accounting research as needed.
    Strong internal control approach.
    Ability to partner with and influence cross-functional teams (within Corporate Accounting, Finance, sales, etc.).
    SAP/HFM experience preferred


    Skills:
    High data integrity and attention to detail resulting in consistent, reliable and accurate work product.
    Strong written and oral communication skills.
    Solid interpersonal skills
    Strong planning and organizational skills
    Ability to prioritize.
    Solid analytical skills, with ability to prioritize
    Ability to identify and implement process improvements with a solution oriented approach.


    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Certified Public Accountant license or equivalent preferred.

    Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range.

    Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S.

    is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


    –Zone A:
    $86,600 - $161,900


    –Zone B:
    $79,400 - $148,400


    –Zone C:
    $72,100 - $134,900

    This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox's incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
