This position resides on the CA Workforce Programs team and reports to the Director of Recruitment.
The Program Coordinator of Recruitment will focus on supporting and expanding recruitment efforts in order to increase the number of participants and applicants in the California Healthy School Food Pathway Pre-Apprenticeship program.
This program has key targets for the number of participants in each Pre-Apprenticeship Cohort so this role will be responsible for working alongside the Director of Recruitment to meet those goals.
About theHealthy School Food Pathway
(HSFP) Program
HSFP is a work-based learning experience that aims to prepare individuals for job opportunities in healthy, scratch-cook school food programs.
The pipeline from entry-level positions through management and school food leadership offers professionals the resources, hands-on training, and network to become confident leaders that have in-depth knowledge and experience in creating and running successful scratch-cook meal programs.
This includes an emphasis on CAF's 5 key areas:food, finance, facilities, human resources and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Research, develop and maintain relationships with key partners including, but not limited to, community colleges, nonprofit organizations, workforce development boards, other training programs and state and federal assistance programs.
Coordinate in-person events aimed at supporting recruitment and retention efforts in the HSFP program.
Manage travel and event calendar for recruitment events and scheduling as needed.
Manage the tracking of participant leads and applicants in Salesforce, including key applicant data and communications.
Communicate with potential participants and applicants via phone and video calls, emails and text campaigns, including those resulting from promotions from outside contractors.
Work with the Programs Marketing Coordinator on digital promotional efforts including email campaigns and social media.
Work with the Director of Recruitment and Programs Marketing Coordinator to coordinate photo and film shoots as needed for promotional materials.
Work alongside the CA Workforce Programs team to establish value-add components for the HSFP program that can help drive recruitment and make recommendations for program improvement based on recruitment feedback.
Basic Responsibilities
Update and create key program documents, promotional materials, slide decks, timelines, etc. as needed for each Pre-Apprenticeship cohort.
Support launch and implementation of new Pre-Apprenticeship cohort applications to ensure alignment with recruitment activities and timelines.
Condense large amounts of information into easy-to-read reports, including data collection, cleaning and chart creation.
Suggest program efficiencies and opportunities and follow through as appropriate.
Support technology integration as directed, especially around the tracking of communications with potential applicants and the effectiveness of recruitment channels.
Attend steering committees and coalition meetings to report back to team on program/organization alignment opportunities, as assigned.
Collaborate on speaking engagements and avenues to promote the program, particularly at conferences.
Coordinate program travel, in-person event, and material needs; schedule event travel as directed by supervisor and communicate travel plans with team to ensure efficient use of time and travel funds.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Ability to travel for work, particularly within California
Ability to learn and engage with new learning technology programs
Experience in school food, recruitment and/or workforce development preferred
Experience in program planning and management preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and GSuite platforms
Salesforce Experience preferred
Ability to work virtually and participate in meetings in the Pacific time zone (PST/PDT)
Strong project management skills, including time management and clear communication

Compensation
Compensation ranges between $46,500 - $58,000 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate's previous experience and credentials.
