GENERAL PURPOSE

  • The Resource and Referral (R&R) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing workforce development efforts with child care providers. They manage and coordinate program activities, ensuring professional development opportunities for providers. The R&R Coordinator works collaboratively with the lead agency, fiscal agency, and partner subcontractors to achieve project goals and objectives. They also ensure compliance with organizational and program policies, standards, and procedures._

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with program director and staff in planning, developing, and administering specially funded projects to ensure contract and budget compliance, program implementation and reporting requirements are met.
  • Support the R&R Director with Training Calendar, Contractor agreements and monthly Professional development calendar for R&R Providers and with payroll submission
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of program regulations, agency guidelines, policies and procedures, subsidy bulletins, and funding terms and conditions necessary for performance of responsibilities.
  • Support and work with staff to assist providers (e.g. mentor) in developing quality improvement & professional development plans, setting goals, and selecting appropriate strategies.
  • Work with program director and staff in planning, developing and administering specially funded projects to ensure contract and budget compliance, program implementation and reporting requirements are met.
  • Support and assist management team with strategic planning and implementation, and completion of required management, contract, fiscal and administrative reports.
  • Represent the agency/department at professional organizations and community meetings, and serve as a community liaison with colleges, organizations and agencies, as assigned.
  • Assist the QSLA Supervisor to facilitate quality improvement activities and support workforce development efforts to enhance child care providers? efforts to sustain high quality child care.
  • Supervise specific tasks such as written monthly reports, data collections, reports or other administrative forms, and staff meetings.
  • Assist program director with budgets, oral and written reports as needed, development and implementation of R&R activities.
  • Work, develop, and maintain ongoing relationships with appropriate community agencies.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and train staff as needed for short term projects
  • Supervise and coordinate staff in the absence of the program director.
  • Develop, update, and document procedures, as well as recommend and implement improvements to existing procedures, as appropriate.
  • Assist in the oversight of compliance related tasks, including Employee Corrective Action Plans.
  • Assist in monitoring work distribution and processes to ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Work with program director to plan and implement workshops and trainings for the child care community.
  • Keep abreast of current Early Care and Educations professions trends, legislative issues and regulatory changes affecting child care programs.
  • Excellent Communications skills including, written, verbal, and listening.
  • Travel to other MAOF locations and or events as required.
  • Protects MAOF?s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes MAOF goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request, exploring opportunities to add value to MAOF.
  • Must follow all requirements set forth by Funding source and MAOF.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor?s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development or related field required, Master?s degree highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement Rating Systems (QRIS).
  • Ability to supervise, train and evaluate staff.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional, supervisory, and/or program management experience with educational services, social services or related services.
  • Minimum two (2) years? experience in Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Coordinate CPR/First Aid and Health & Safety workshops.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent organization skills, strong written and communication skills, ability to successfully interface with others.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities; ability to work as a team leader.
  • Bilingual fluency English/Spanish required.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt to the changing needs of the position.
  • Ability to work a nontraditional work schedule.
