    General Manager

    **OVERVIEW:**
    Advance your career as a Full-time General Manager, where you'll be the driving force behind our branch business. From **setting** and executing a sales plan in your market, to inspiring a culture of excellence in business-to-business selling, your leadership will shape the success of the entire team. As a motivator, communicator, and strategic thinker, you'll not only work to exceed business goals but also foster career opportunities for those around you. Your leadership will be the compass guiding the branch to new heights. This position is for our branch located in Stamford, CT.

    **RESPONSIBILITIES:**
    The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
    • Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach and exceed business goals
    • Demonstrating excellence in business-to-business selling on a daily basis
    • Effectively communicating business statistics and progress toward goals to motivate the performance of others
    • Modeling and promoting career opportunities to personnel
    • Developing and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals
    • Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
    **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**
    The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
    • Possess a current full valid driver's license
    • At least one year of Fastenal or related sales experience
    • Degree in Business/Marketing OR equivalent industry experience and knowledge
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Highly motivated and self-directed
    • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
    • Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
    • Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
    • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
    • Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages
    • Pass the required drug screen
    **PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:**
    • Prior managerial experience and product knowledge
