    **Description**

    **Ashley Furniture HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for a Retail Support Specialist.** The ideal candidate is responsible for managing inbound phone calls and answering customer questions/concerns.

    **KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Answers all store inbound calls and answers general inquiry questions.

    Paging calls over the stores intercom system.

    Transfers telephone calls to the appropriate department by using discovery questions to assess the customers needs.

    Ensures that emails and phone calls from business partners and customers are resolved and responded to within 48 hours of receipt.

    Quickly and efficiently navigates between multiple systems to research customer inquiries.

    Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them to meet critical deadlines.

    Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills.

    Must be a subject matter expert on the companys computer programs.

    Adheres to the work schedule provided while maintaining consistent and reliable attendance.

    Positively and respectfully communicates with customers and company departments.

    Attends mandatory training sessions and completes training modules in the companys LMS system.

    Assists in a store location during sales holidays, as designated by the manager of retail operations.

    Supports the stores backend functions as deemed necessary.

    Occasionally, the store support advocate will be asked and expected to perform various, miscellaneous, and non-standard duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company.

    Other duties as assigned.

    **KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:**

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

    Some college or equivalent work experience is desired.

    Microsoft Office experience.

    Strong computer skills.

    Cash handling experience.

    1-2 years of customer service experience (preferred but not required).

    Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to multitask without sacrificing quality of work.
