    Position Overview

    This position (a) serves as the subject matter expert (SME) and leader of all regulatory, industry and customer compliance initiatives, programs, policies, procedures, reporting, and practices for the products the organization manufactures, sources from third party suppliers and sells to customers on a global basis, and (b) ensures the organization attains full compliance with laws, regulations, and similar requirements applicable to its products in each country where the organization does business and/or its products reach end users.

    Job Duties:

    • Serve as the organization's SME for global product compliance matters.
    • Create a culture of compliance concerning the products the organization manufactures, sources from third-party suppliers, and sells to its customers on a global basis.
    • Manage the compliance process for all products and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and industry standards.
    • Research and remain current with respect to all applicable product compliance requirements.
    • Develop, obtain institutional buy-in, implement, audit and continuously improve product compliance policies and procedures.
    • Educate, train, and engage with key stakeholders (including Supply Chain, Quality, Compliance, Engineering, Legal, Sales, Operations, and Customer Service) on product compliance requirements, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance data is collected, verified, processed, and shared with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present to senior management reports on the organization's compliance culture, initiatives, accomplishments, weaknesses and plans for continuous improvement.
    • Oversee internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on product compliance obligations.
    • Evaluate and implement changes to compliance processes to address regulatory changes.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to educate internal teams on product compliance obligations and best practices.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Ability to work autonomously, proactively manage key compliance initiatives and achieve stated objectives.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. and global product compliance requirements, such as California Prop 65, TSCA, PFAS, EU/UK REACH, EU/UK RoHS, and EU CBAM.
    • Outstanding data collection and processing capabilities, analytical skills, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
    • Knowledge of operation of MS Office suite and standard office equipment.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
