    Job Description

    Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team. An associate degree in accounting, bookkeeping, or related fields is preferred. This role will have responsibilities assisting with human resources and payroll.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Maintaining financial records
    • Reconcile accounts
    • Invoicing and accounts receivable
    • Accounts payable
    • Expense tracking
    • Assist with commercial insurance renewals.
    • Interpret financial reports and provide insights to management
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements
    • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes
    • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
    • Process ADP payroll in the absence the current payroll admin
    • Review certified payrolls and in the absence of the current payroll admin process the certified payroll
    • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
    • Other duties as needed
    Job Type: Full-time

    • 8-hour shift
    • Day shift
    • Monday to Friday
    Ability to commute/relocate:
    • Hunt Valley, MD 21031: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
    Work Location: In person
    Special Projects:
    • Formulation of GL numbering schema for chart of accounts.
    • Creation of closing checklists for month-end and year-end close.
    • Development of electronic file procedures.
    • Management of internal control procedures.
    Education and Experience:
    • Associate degree in accounting or related field
    • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
    • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
    • Ability to take initiative and be flexible while meeting multiple demands within a team environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Well-developed computer skills including competence & proficiency in Microsoft Excel
