    We like to make things work. We create a cloud based multi-tenant business-to-business e-commerce and marketing support application called Mindwire.

    It has the power to customize the experience for any business including single sign-on, checkout, order configuration, print on demand customization, third party vendors, outside manufacturing delivery, orderable quantity, group ordering, fulfillment scheduling app, with any role and permission you can think of.

    We do that stuff. It's pretty cool.


    OBJECTIVE:


    As a member of the Gilson Development department, the Senior Applications Developer is responsible for authoring code, optimized user-facing features, troubleshooting existing application issues, providing code review feedback, and producing technical documentation.


    SUPERVISOR:
    Position reports to the Mindwire Development Team Lead Developer

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Author UI Layouts and supporting code to create and maintain application features as directed by project owners and business sponsors.

    Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new requirements and enhance existing systems.
    Provide user interface and user experience recommendations with technical design documents.
    Collaborate with outsource relationship application development and 3rd party programming consultants.
    Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications.
    Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues.
    Share developer technical support and release engineer on a rotating responsibility basis.
    Provide constructive feedback during code review phase by maintaining code quality standards.
    Learn from and teach peer developers by sharing programming principles and techniques.

    Document new / existing / updated features, code maintenance, change-control, database migration, deployment plans and execution by the development team.

    Ensure adherence with design standards and maintain code management / deployment strategies as defined by industry best practices, architect, business sponsors, and development team.


    REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:


    College degree in Computer Programming and a minimum of five years of applicable development, planning and successful execution experience required.


    EXPERIENCE:
    Strong understanding in object-oriented database design principle and code first entity framework execution.
    Angular, AngularJS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, and SASS.
    Experience with Azure based cloud tools.
    Azure Data Factory or ETL / SSIS tools.

    ATTITUDE:
    Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adjust to changes in priorities.
    Flexible and efficient both independently and within a team environment.


    KNOWLEDGE AND APTITUDE:
    Ability to effectively communicate with the project team as well as business sponsors.

    SKILLS:
    Technical experience with systems networking, databases, web development, and user support.
    Extensive knowledge of data processing systems, hardware platforms, and software applications.
    Ability to quickly understand, provide technical direction, and execute on stories written in collaboration with business analysts.
    Ability to provide strategic architectural direction and thoughtful discussion in code implementation to developer peers.
    Proven track record of working within an agile team environment delivering project results on time and within budget.

    QUALIFYING QUESTIONS:
    Explain what 3rd Normal Form is.
    When is the right time to use ToList() in a .NET Project?
    Explain what Angular is, as if I'm not a programmer.

    PLATFORM COMPONENTS:
    Angular 12, AngularJS 1.5, Angular Material, Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.NET WebAPI, OWIN, Node, Bower, and Sass.

    Azure Tools:
    Azure Functions, Data Factory, Synapse, and PowerShell Automation.


    TOOLS WE USE:
    Microsoft 365, Git, Slack, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

    We extensively use the specific aspects of these general tools to allow all members of the team to work as much remotely as they desire.
