- Assist in recruitment, development, and retention of talent. This includes posting requisitions, screening candidates, setting interviews, completing the onboarding process and conducting new hire orientations
- Conduct phone interviews with prospective candidates, taking detailed notes and communicating the next step with the candidate and HR team
- Provide the highest level of customer service on a daily basis
- Maintain HR Inbox and respond to human resources related inquiries
- Ensure documentation is complete and processed for new hires
- Assist and support management with handling and resolving human resource related issues
- Responsible for the inventory of the uniform room including ordering and tracking requests
- Responsible for collecting terminated employee uniforms, including sending out correspondence regarding uniform returns
- Responsible for distributing nametags, badges and?uniforms to?current and new employees
- Serve as the initial point of contact to people both inside and outside the organization
- Manage the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.
- Responsible for maintaining personnel files including E-Verify and State New Hire requirements
- Responsible for completing guard card licensing paperwork packets to go to DPS (Dept of Public Safety)
- Maintain the Guard Card requirements for all employees including running reports, following up with Employees and DPS and ensuring proper documentation of all employee guard card applications
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality on all sensitive information to which this position is privy.
- Ensure accurate maintenance and legal compliance of all employee records and electronic files
- Maintain consistent contact and communication in a matrix environment. Communication and teamwork are essential for this position
- Address any employee concerns, documenting and relaying information to HR Manager for follow-up.
- Human Resource and/or Recruiting experience required.
- Excellent communication skills (active listening, negotiation, presentation, and interviewing)
- Excellent Computer skills and must be able to work with multiple programs at any given time
- People oriented and results driven
- Knowledge of HR systems, databases, and software
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capability to multi-task throughout the day
- Build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and thrive under pressure

- Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- 3 to 5 years of HR Generalist experience
- HR related certification (PHR, SHRM)
