    Description

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations at JA Solar's Phoenix facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse activities, ensuring the efficient handling of solar components including racking systems, and utilizing WMS Warehouse Management Systems to optimize inventory and storage solutions. The Warehouse Supervisor will also perform warehouse analysis to drive improvements in efficiency and productivity.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs

    Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation

    Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for warehouse staff

    Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly and effectively

    Ensure accurate inventory management through effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

    Coordinate with procurement, production and logistics departments to ensure seamless workflow

    Supervise, train and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards

    Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

    Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciles with data storage systems

    Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts

    Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees

    Conduct regular analysis of warehouse processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement

    Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse productivity

    Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse space utilization and reduce operational costs

    Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

    Improves staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees

    Qualifications:

    Familiarity with racking systems and components

    Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification

    Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field

    Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory control software

    State drivers license with satisfactory DMV driving record

    License to operate a forklift or able to obtain

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

    Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPI s)

    Computer literacy

    Leadership skills and ability manage staff

    Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

    Positive working attitude

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Excellent time management skills

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Ability to prioritize

    Working conditions:

    Works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment

    Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

    May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays

    Physical requirements:

    Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

    Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
