    Job Description

    As a Photo Lithography Metrology Engineer, you will be part of Intel's High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) fabrication team focused on pushing boundaries for future silicon products. Your key role will involve enhancing silicon bridge, silicon photonics, and advanced packaging processes, as well as improving yield and HVM solutions. Collaborate with Process Integrators to create recipes for new product requirements.

    Experienced Process Development Engineers can develop processes to meet the demands of next-gen semiconductor devices like Silicon Photonics, EMIB, and Advanced packaging technologies. They define and implement new processes, enhancing existing ones to align with process technology needs. Take technical ownership of characterization data, analysis techniques, and recipe setup for quality control to boost yield. Develop project roadmaps, quality control measures, failure analysis, and testing methodologies. Work closely with the equipment supplier to identify and address issues.

    Development Engineers lead research for process development enabling innovative device architectures. Conduct experiments to meet design specifications for their process. Contribute to intellectual property development and equipment enhancement. Partner with various teams and management to fulfill development commitments.

    Gain comprehensive knowledge of materials, processes, and equipment to meet quality, reliability, and cost targets. Define HVM transfer deliverables for their module. Partner with Process Integrators to create recipes for new product demands.

    Responsibilities as a Photo Lithography Metrology Engineer include:

    • Writing BKM (best known method) documentation such as preventative maintenance procedures and error recoveries.
    • Developing new metrology recipes.
    • Driving improvements in quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability, productivity, and safety.
    • Training process engineers and technicians for transfer to other factories.
    • Supporting high volume manufacturing and new factory startup.
    • Analyzing data and applying statistical process control.
    • Collaborating with internal and external customers.

    Full-time onsite presence required during training period, approximately 6 months. Post-training, a hybrid work arrangement will be established by the manager and employee, with ongoing onsite work.

    Qualifications

    To be considered for this role, you should meet the following minimum qualifications. Preferred qualifications are a plus.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields.
    • 3+ years of industry experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Design of Experiments (DOE).
    • Proficiency in Lithography process and Litho-Metrology.
    • Tool ownership and sustaining experience.
    • 5+ years of industry experience in Litho-Metrology.
