The Strategic Account Specialist is responsible for working with the company's largest, and highest volume customers.
This person will be tasked to support the Strategic Account Manager in driving the TaylorMade Brand business to meet all established financial objectives.
This position will have a strong focus on working with our corporate customers and ensuring they receive the highest-level customer experience.
In addition, this person will work closely with our internal Sales Managers, Warehouse, and Sales Operations personnel in conjunction with our retailer's Merchant and Logistics teams to execute their business, ensuring all orders are shipped on time and complete, thus maximizing the selling opportunities.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Act as the key inside contact for the Merchant and Buying teams of the company's largest customers, primarily focused on Amazon.
Understands customers' routing guides; coordinates with Warehouse and Sales Operations teams to ship all orders that require extra attention due to ship windows, fill rate, and the use of specific carriers
Manage orders placed via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), including but not limited to transmitting, confirming, and fulfilling all orders in Oracles Interfaces menu, correcting errors if necessary, managing Pre-Release, and communicating any issues to IT that arise from trying to process EDI orders
Creates, develops, and maintains relationships with merchandise buyers; working daily to execute current and future business.
Services the assigned accounts in all aspects in a timely manner; such as placing orders, creating repairs, warranty replacements, and returns, as well as answering all product-related questions via phone or email
Works with outside sale representatives (specific to the key accounts) on all fronts to ensure the maximum level of service is given to the customers.
Attends weekly meetings/conference call with the Strategic Account Management and Sales Operations to discuss and plan the weekly execution of business.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Extremely detail oriented.
Ability to manage/manipulate significant amounts of data in multiple applications for the purpose of organizing, prioritizing, and identifying to the most pertinent/relevant data necessary for quick and informed decision making.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); emphasis on Excel proficiency, including ability to sort, filter, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.Effective listening skills; ability to recognize and address customer needs
Self-motivated and self-directed; ability to work unsupervised at times, managing multiple tasks and projects
simultaneously.
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required; Bachelors degree preferred.
4+ years of professional experience in a customer service related role, preferably in consumer goods and/or technical product experience.
Experience with mass merchant/big box/sporting goods companies.
Familiarity with EDI, Compliance requirements and routing guides.
Golf industry knowledge/experience preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
