What you'll do:
Are you a diligent financial whiz with a passion for making an impact? Viasat's Central Functions Group is seeking a bright and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team


In this role, you'll play a pivotal role supporting our Finance team and business leaders, empowering them with the financial insights they need to drive strategic decision-making.

You'll leverage your financial expertise to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and ensure alignment between actual results and our project, engineering, and strategic plans.

The day-to-day:

  • Support the monthly accounting close process.
  • Prepare monthly rolling forecasts and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Support and assist in the preparation of engineering financial budgets and operating plans.
  • Create and lead financial forecasts, including P&L and Balance Sheet elements.
  • Partner with upper management to develop headcount forecasts/tasking

What you'll need:

  • 13 years "handson" Financial Planning and Analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related area.
  • Financial modeling capabilities.
  • Bold selfstarter with a strong ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Communication, time management, and teambuilding skills: position will interact with team members across the business area and corporate functions at all levels.

What will help you on the job:

  • Systems experience with proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting.
  • Prior experience with financial modeling.
